This project continues the evolution of the Orton Haus language: soft curves, layered natural materials and spaces shaped by light.
Orton Haus 3.1
Natural light was central to the planning. A full-height arched window anchors the main living zone, drawing northern sun deep into the home and establishing a strong architectural rhythm from the moment you enter.
Curves are repeated intentionally — in the stair balustrade, joinery detailing and window forms — creating cohesion without overstatement. The result is calm, balanced and expansive.
The kitchen is grounded in heavily grained timber cabinetry, bringing movement and texture to an otherwise restrained palette. Natural stone surfaces introduce contrast and refinement, while brushed metallic fixtures add subtle detail.
Throughout the homes, the material selection focuses on longevity — tactile finishes, warm neutrals and layered textures that will age well and feel timeless rather than trend driven.
It demonstrates our capability at Ort and Co Building as a Newcastle custom home builder delivering architectural homes and duplexes with a refined professional and innovative approach.

The Orton Haus Approach
Every Orton Haus project is guided by the same core principles:
Architecture that feels sculptural yet liveable
Materials selected for warmth and longevity
Spaces shaped around how Australian families actually live
Craftsmanship that elevates everyday moments
Orton Haus 3.0 is not just a modern duplex, it’s a continuation of a design philosophy. Cohesive, layered and intentional.
It’s another chapter in the Orton Haus story. Can’t wait for the next one!
